Product Description and Application
HastelloyC-22 is also known as UNS N06022, W N 2.4602
Hastelloy c -22 has excellent pitting corrosion resistance, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent antioxidant water medium capacity, including wet chlorine, nitric acid or a mixture of oxidizing acids containing chloride ions. Because of this versatile performance, it can be used in some troublesome environment or in multiple production purpose plant applications. Hastelloy C22 alloys have exceptional resistance to various chemical environments, including highly oxidizing substances such as ferric chloride, copper chloride, chlorine, hot polluted solutions (organic and inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, seawater and salt solutions. Hastelloy C22 alloy is resistant to grain boundary precipitation in the welding heat affected zone, which makes it suitable for many chemical processes in the welding state.
