Product Description and Application
Hastelloy C is also known as Hastelloy C, W.N.2.4819
Hastelloy C is nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy containing tungsten with very low silicon and carbon content. It has excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive medium in oxidation and reduction states. Excellent resistance to point corrosion, crack corrosion and stress corrosion cracking have been widely used in chemical and petrochemical fields, which is in components and catalytic systems that are exposed to chlorinated organics. This material is especially suitable for high temperature, mixed with impurities of inorganic and organic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid), seawater corrosion environment. And also suitable for the pulp and paper industry, such as boiling and bleaching containers, scrubbers in FGD systems, reheaters, wet steam fans, equipment and components operating in acid gas environments, reactors for acetic acid and acid products and sulphuric acid condensers

Product Processability
Hot Working
1. The temperature range of hot working is 1200℃ ~ 950℃ and the cooling method is water cooling or rapid air cooling.
2. In order to ensure the best anti-corrosion performance, heat treatment should be carried out after hot working and the workpiece should be directly added to the heat treatment furnace which has been heated up.
Cold Working
1. The work hardening rate is greater than that of austenitic stainless steel, so the processing equipment needs to be selected. The workpiece shall be in solution heat treatment state and shall have intermediate annealing during the cold rolling process
2. If the deformation of cold rolling is greater than 15%, the workpiece needs to be treated with secondary solution.
